Production Coordinator - Milwaukee

Position Overview:

  • This position is responsible for processing all pre-start related activities required to secure a permit for new home construction.
  • This position is responsible for coordinating all administrative activities to support the production team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assume split responsibility for work related to processing sales contracts and converting the contracted options into plans to submit for sanitary permits, zoning permits, developer approvals, architectural reviews and building permits.
  • Order the correct number of finalized plans from blueprint company for submittal for sanitary permits, zoning permits, developer approvals, Architectural Control Committee (ACC) approvals, and/or the approving municipality.
  • Fill out and submit all required paper work for securing a building permit.
  • Create and maintain job templates and schedules in WMS.
  • Maintain and update trade portal as needed.
  • Work with accounting and purchasing to maintain and update vendor licenses and contact information as needed.
  • Create and maintain the check request template and/or starts template.
  • Prepare plan and color packages for drawing approval submittal to developers and municipalities (both for ACC approval and building permit) and deliver to appropriate entities.
  • Follow-up on any discrepancies or additional requirements generated by ACC or the municipality with the Sales Team.
  • Support and track Start Dates.
  • Create Start-Packets and all start packet materials for the Construction Managers.
  • Notify purchasing the bid pack is ready to be sent out and load jobs and documents into WMS.
  • Assign Trades to appropriate tasks within WMS – Check off completed assignments.
  • Create and customize schedules within WMS – adjust dig dates accordingly.
  • Train new vendors and new employees on WMS and the trade portal.
  • Train new employees on Starts procedures.
  • Effectively delegate work within Production to keep jobs on schedule.
  • Receive and enter Trade Council Tracking data into Excel – send data to Trade Council.
  • Review and approve P.O.s for blueprints.
  • Scrub plans based on CAD Options.
  • Work with Production Manager, construction managers, excavators and foundation crews to coordinate digs as needed and notify them of any changes.
  • File all job related documents in specific job file folders.
  • Create and maintain job folders located on X: Drive.
  • Participate as an active member of the Company team, providing insight to the Director of Construction on improving department performance and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Possess excellent communication (written and verbal), Organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend detailed construction blueprints, specifications, and basic development drawings.
  • Basic technology skills; including Microsoft Office, Outlook (email), and experience with residential production back office systems.
  • Two (2) years prior experience in new home construction (preferred).
  • Two-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimal travel required. Employee must own or lease a vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license with insurance coverage.
  • Ability to lift 20 or more pounds if needed.

BIM Manager - Milwaukee or Madison

Our Milwaukee Office is seeking someone to join the design team tohelp create an in house BIM process to support our building divisions. Candidate must align with the Company Core Values.

Position Overview:

  • To establish and create an in house BIM process to support the companies building divisions.
  • To establish training for internal BIM users.
  • To establish 3D model content to support the estimating/takeoff process linking to the companies back office systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support implementation and maintenance of company’s BIM software and hardware.
  • Create, support and implement construction drawing standards to support the BIM process.
  • Create, support and implement content creation for BIM software.
  • Support, maintain and enhance master plans in BIM software.
